Full-Time Seasonal Farm Crew Member

Position Overview

Endless Roots Farm is seeking two full-time, seasonal farm crew members to join our team for the 2026 season.  You will be joining a team of 2 full time employees and 2 managers/owners.  We are entering our third season as Endless Roots Farm, though we have been farming on this land for the past 13 seasons. We are deeply connected to our community and those we feed—and we enjoy welcoming our crew into that community as well.


All employees at Endless Roots Farm will receive training in all aspects of field operations including, but not limited to: seeding, transplanting, crop maintenance, harvest, washing, and packing of vegetables.

Responsibilities

Field Production (Transplant, Harvest & Cultivation)

  • Carry out daily field activities efficiently and effectively, including:
    • Bed preparation
    • Transplanting
    • Weeding and cultivation
    • Harvesting

Wash/Pack

  • Harvest crops according to quality and food safety standards
  • Wash, sort, and pack produce efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash/pack area

Livestock

  • Opening and closing coops
  • Feeding flock
  • Collect, wash, and pack eggs

Delivery/CSA Distribution

  • Load vehicle for deliveries
  • Deliver to local restaurants and CSA pick up locations
  • Represent our farm well to customers

Who we're looking for

Ideal candidates will:

  • Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for up to 8 hours per work day
  • Be available May–November at a minimum.  Earlier start times available for the right person
  • Have experience working in team environments (trail crews, sports teams, restaurants, etc.) and enjoy collaborative work
  • Be able to follow instructions from owners or experienced coworkers, even when they have their own ideas about how to do a task
  • Have some agricultural or hands-on outdoor work experience
  • Maintain a generally positive attitude and sense of humor
  • Be interested in learning why we do what we do
  • Be considerate of coworkers, neighbors, and shared land
  • Be patient with changes driven by weather or a growing business
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Clean driving record

The details

Schedule

  • Rotating schedule of Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday.
  • Typical workday runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Unpaid lunch break of 60 minutes 
  • Depending on season, start time might be 7:00AM with an early end time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $14/hour
  • Generous access to eggs and vegetables
  • Wholesale pricing on items from other farms
  • Cost of living annual raise for returning employees
  • PTO commensurate with days worked
    • Full-time employees receive 5 days of PTO, Part-time employees receive commensurate benefits ex. If your schedule comes out to 3 full days per week you’d receive 3 days of PTO.
    • Year-round employees receive additional PTO at a rate of .003/hrs worked

Our Management Style

Liz and Mike have 13+ years of experience managing farm crews ranging from 3 to 6 employees. We strive to be reasonable employers by:

  • Rotating tasks and work partners
  • Scheduling harder jobs in the morning
  • Explaining the “why” behind our decisions

In return, we expect crew members to grow in efficiency, skill, and awareness of how their actions affect the farm and the team.
