In 2009, Mike transitioned his career in education and environmental science to one in agriculture. His first apprenticeship was at the PEAS Farm in Missoula, Montana, after which he moved on to the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Tarrytown, New York. Upon graduating from his apprenticeships in 2011, Mike began managing a farm in Connecticut.
Since 2013, he has been farming with his wife, Liz, first at Fullers Overlook and now at Endless Roots Farm.
He loves to see the soil enriched every year, build relationships with our customers, and watch his children - Aldo and Cora - grow up on the farm.
During her former career as a social worker, collaborating with numerous community organizations on food justice issues, Liz discovered an interest in farming.
Wanting to further understand where food comes from, she apprenticed at Riverbank Farm for several seasons and fell in love with growing food. It was the perfect combination of feeding people, stewarding the land, and playing an active role in building a sustainable future.
More than a decade later, she is still in love with feeding the community, raising her family on the farm, and embracing farming’s gift of continual learning and personal growth.
Michelle first became interested in farming during an Americorps service program during which she worked on a biodynamic farm in Washington state.
She went on to apprentice at a farm in Connecticut for three years, learning about the many aspects of managing a successful market farm.
Before arriving at Endless Roots Farm, Michelle participated in the first growing season at a farm in New York, and gained valuable experience.
As a child, Lindsee started learning how to grow food as a way to spend more time with her grandfather and Uncle Al.
After trialing a different career path, she soon found her way back to growing and school, earning an Organic Farming Certification through the Rodale Institute and Delaware Valley University.
Lindsee quickly realized that farming is her favorite way of connecting to others! Since joining Endless Roots Farm in 2020, she has become an integral part of the team.
