from our local family farm.
Endless Roots Farm is a family-owned and operated, first-generation farm nestled in the rolling hills of scenic Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our experienced farmers use regenerative practices to plant and harvest a wide variety of wholesome, nutrient-dense vegetables, all without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or fungicides. We gather wild-crafted herbs, blend fragrant teas, and collect farm-fresh eggs that make the best omelettes ever!
The relationships we’ve cultivated with valued partners enable us to offer freshly roasted coffee beans, artisan foods, wild-caught Alaskan sockeye salmon, and - from time to time - other delightful culinary experiences.
We invite you to join us for the 2024 harvest season and experience the joy, flavor, and health benefits of buying high quality food from people you trust.
Your farmers: Liz and Mike Krug
Hi! We're Liz and Mike Krug, your farmers. For more than 14 years, we’ve been growing food to feed our community. We love everything about farm life: the honest day's work, eating food that tastes like something, and - above all - the human connection.
Right now, all across America, there are food deserts in which people are unable to access freshly grown vegetables and other nutritious foods. Here at Endless Roots Farm, our greenhouses produce year-round to ensure that our neighbors here at home, from all walks of life, can enjoy safe, healthy, delicious food.
As farmers, we have a deep connection to the land. Guided by a regenerative philosophy, we rely on resilient, restorative farming practices to yield abundant harvests. To attract, feed, and shelter the beneficial insects that help keep pests at bay, we plant thoughtfully selected flowers and herbs.
Our pasture-raised chickens moved to new grass daily, pecking, scratching, and thriving in a living ecosystem. They revel in fresh air and sunshine, and forage freely as nature intended.
We don't use hormones or antibiotics. Instead, a diet of insects, worms, seeds, and grasses, supplemented by non-GMO feed, creates happy, healthy hens that lay incredibly tasty, highly nutritious eggs.
Research conducted by Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences says, "Compared to eggs of the commercial hens, eggs from pastured hens eggs had twice as much vitamin E and long-chain omega-3 fats, more than double the total omega-3 fatty acids, and less than half the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids."
If you love yummy scrambles , moist baked goods, and other “egg-cellent” treats, nothing beats farm-fresh eggs!
